Below are some common questions I have been asked about group coaching. If you have other questions, send me an email!! I am always happy to talk with you!
Can I be in the same group with a friend or spouse?
Absolutely! Each group is limited to just 6 participants. The sooner you sign up, the better chance you have of there being space in your preferred group for multiple sign-ups.
Can I join group coaching even if I am not located in the central time zone?
Yes! You can join a group coaching session anywhere you have an internet connection! All sessions will take place on a group Zoom where we you can see me and the other participants.
What if I’m late to a session or need to have my camera off?
Join in the session as soon as you can! I have had participants who traveled or were waiting on kids at sports practice. These participants would listen in on their phones with their camera off and join in the conversation when they could. While it is best if you can join in the conversation, you will still benefit from hearing everyone share.
What if I need to miss a week for vacation or prior commitments?
I do understand that sometimes things come up and life happens. While I do encourage you to attend each weekly session, I realize you may need to miss a week. For the sake of maintaining privacy, session are never recorded. However, each week you will get an email with and audio track assignment, heart key, and journaling homework. If you miss a week, you will still be able to stay on track with the group on your own.
Are the sessions recorded?
The sessions will not be recorded. I want everyone to feel safe to disclose as much or as little as they want. Because of the sensitive nature of coaching, I take privacy and safety very seriously. While I do believe one of the greatest benefits of group coaching is learning from each other, you will never be pressured to talk.
I’ve never done coaching before, what can I expect?
I like to use the analogy of a football coach. I am not here to solve your problems or tell you what to do. We also don’t focus on what is wrong. My role is to coach you in biblical principles for life transformation, overcoming your problems, and help you deepen your relationship with God. It is my desire that you become so confident in your relationship with God that you hear from Him in every situation you face!! God has equipped you with everything you need for life and godliness!! I am here to create an environment where you can confidently step into that reality!
What if I don’t feel comfortable talking in front of people I don’t know?
I get it. Talking to people you just met can be scary. I will do everything I can to help you feel comfortable and safe. You will never have to talk or disclose anything you are not comfortable sharing during a session. I think you will be surprised at how quickly you become comfortable in your group community. Below was one participant’s experience this spring:
“Group Coaching was too good. Hard at first because I didn't know almost anyone, so I was nervous to share. However, as I continued to stay and get to know everyone it became so much easier to share and be real. Jesus is soooo gentle and kind in how he walks DAILY with us. I have truly loved this and would hope others can do it as well”.
How is group coaching different than 1-on-1 coaching?
One of the key differences in group coaching is that we are focusing on a certain topic. This upcoming session we will be exploring what the bible says about putting off the past and putting on who we are in Christ. We will learn practical tools that you can use in many different areas of your life. You also have the amazing benefit of hearing how God is working in the lives of the other participants. Group coaching gives you a front row seat to see transformation in others, encouragement to step out in faith, and hope for a different future!! One of the common benefits many participants say they receive is being able to grow through the experience of others.
